Is it any good or should I spend a bit more to get a Intel processor?
I'm only really going to be using it for WP, DTP and databases, etc, and occasionally listening to music.

ofcourse intel is better then amd for now with their core 2 duo, you can wait while santa rosa will be released then there would be some price drops both at intels and amd's platforms
