I woke up this morning and went to the bathroom to find spots of blood on my pantyliner. My period was due to come soon so last night I put on a pantyliner before I went to bed. I wiped myself and there was a little bit of blood on the tissue but not as much as when I have my normal period. Could this be implantation bleeding and how long should I wait to take a pregnancy test and get an accurate result? No insulting answers please. Thanks.

So I had a very light period for 2 days and I'm still a bit worried. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. But has this happened to anyone else?

if you don't see blood again, do a pregnancy test. wait some more, maybe its the period. to get an accurate result, it depends which one you buy. read on the instructions before you buy. some say after 3 to 4 days. But to be on the safe side I would check after 3 days and if its positive go to the doctor's to confirm. some safe you have to check after 10 days from your missed period. ( Honestly I wouldn't know how to wait 10 days lol )
And another thing, try the test first thing in the morning with the first urine. Even if its 4 am in the morning.
Good luck

During implantation when I was pregnant it hurt but it can be different for everyone else. If you have started taking new medication or have been under a lot of stress or have had to take the morning after pill or changed birth control pills, this could be what is causing it. You might be spotting and getting ready for your period. Implantation is usually pink looking and if you have had intercourse it would be tighter/swollen when you are sexually active. If your period is missing for a few more weeks take a home pregnancy test. The best thing to do is go to the doctor and get a blood test. Good luck

It could be just a period comming but the only way you can know for sure is if you take a First Response Test a few days before your due for your next period. I know it seems like a long wait but it's all you can do.

Most preganancy tests can be taken immediately so you could take one today and get an accurate result, but it might just be that your period is a little slow starting, so I would give it a couple of days to see if it starts.
