Thank you for sharing. Unfortunately some people cling to their ideas no matter how much truth is thrown at them. Do not worry, not all Americans feel that Israel is the innocent in all this. Some of us do recognize Israel as being in the wrong and the major aggressor in that region.

I can empathize with you, but having served there, and have a brother who lives there, I cant help but think of all the times shots rang out from a house, or group of houses, and killed someone standing on the street. The instant reply was to return fire where the shot came from.
In a war zone, and yes, with the PLO and Hamas and others hell bent on the distruction of Israel and the Jews, it is a war zone, you dont take time to see if there are innocents around.
If the above groups would simply say, " we are not going to fight, we will not bomb or kill and we have no intention of wipping the Jews off the map", then peace would be real and permanent.
Ideology and radical thinking causes innocent people to die. I do understand this as I also saw it in Viet Nam where NVA regulars blend in with the community, fire a few shots, and a whole village is leveled with Artyillery.
Its a no win situation and until you can change the minds of the idiots in charge, ON BOTH SIDES, it wont change. People die in war and war should be a last resort. Since Arafat and others began to so called fight for states rights, there has been more than enough killing on both sides and no, I dont condon it for either side.
Yes, rocks do kill and if you watch the news clips, many have coctails, rocks and yes, firearms. Talking dont seem to work because how many times has the PLO and the Jews signed or agreed to something, only to have a small faction break the agreement???
Its a tough call, but yes, Israel does have the right to defend itself against the terror element of the PLO and Hamas.

There is growing support to stop the violence in Palestine. But those people who are using Palestine as a stage to attack Israel must be stopped. If the terrorists activities were to cease, I think you would see a huge influx of support for the Palestinian state from the USA.

Shelling Israel cities with mortar and rockets , or strapping on bombs and blowing up innocent people does not show a people that want peace. Peace with your selves comes with peace with you neighbors. Most of the reasons you do not see Israel be held prisoner is that the terrorists believe in death of their enemy , not capturing them. Palestinians need to demand their Government to demand peace, and aid from the world will be flowing in. Your leaders need to realize that Israel has its right to exist as much as the Palestinians have the right to exist.

Thank you for telling us about your experiences. This is a view we seldom hear. Americans don't forget about the Palestinians; they barely think of them at all. Sadly, this is because of the people who control the media and most of the US government. They are experts at manipulating public opinion and they are squarely on the side of Israel.
James Baker III, the former Secretary of State under George H W Bush, is about to make recommendations on a middle east policy. He is an old style diplomat and believes the US should try to settle the Palestinian crisis in more even handed way. So there's some hope there.

Did you also see with your own eyes Palestinians launching rockets into Israel?
Did you not hear with your own ears that your political and religious leaders are constantly railing against the right of israel to exist and demanding that your people not rest until they kill all the Jews?
Did it not occur to you that when you launch a war against a people who are more motivated, better armed and better trained that your casualty count is going to be a whole lot higher than theirs?
So sorry, I ain't buyin' your story.
You want peace, you have to live it. So far, you Palestinians have done nothing but advocate war, and war is what you got. Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it.

Maybe if your government gave you a life where truth is shown you would have a better understanding of your regions politics.
The Arabs hate the Jews, the Iranians hate everyone who calls them Arab and you all hate each other. Is it possible this is why there has been turmoil in the middle-east for two thousand years? You seem to have forgotten the part about suicide bombings in your rock throwing. I suppose Hezbollah and Hamas are just innocent groups supporting freedom for all.
