Do Game Boy Advance video games work on Nintendo DS?

Someone told me they did, but I don't know if it's true. One time at Target, I saw the Game Boy Advance cartridges and they looked bigger than the Nintendo DS cartridges. So, can a Game Boy Advance game work on Nintendo DS? And I don't want to buy one for 30$ just for it not to work.

there's a second slot on the other side of the DS that you can put GBA cartridges into. it does work. you can have both a DS card and a GBA cart in there at the same time and some games give you special powers if you do this.

I don't have a DS lite so I don't know if they stick out more on the smaller case but it fits just fine in a regular ds. look for the slot on the other side.

Yes! it does work there is another larger slot on the bottom/south side of the unit. For nintendo ds lite the same applies but trhe cartridge sticks out a little. Not for the original nintendo ds. Trust me I have one.

Yes GBA cartridges work on DS. But not Game Boy or Game Boy colour games - the GBC games work on a GBA machine.
There are two slots. I want to get a DS lite myself but I'm having the same dilemma as the pictures I've seen of it don't seem to show a slot for GBA games and I want to be able to keep playing them.

yes there is a second slot on the bottom of the DS for GBA games. I know because I own one. You cant link up with other Game Boy's though because the DS doesn't have a GBA link port

My famous unique interest Boy interest would would desire to be Pokemon purple. It became my first interest Boy interest I ever have been given and it only brings up the perfect innovations of all my video games I very own. BQ: confident they do advance innovations. very stable ones that i will cry approximately at some point.
