Since they've added the new advertising on the game windows at the top, it's hard to see the chat at the bottom. What you need to do is sign into a certain lounge. you're at the gray screen now with all the tables that are open showing. On the lower left of your screen you'll see a tab "Options". Click on that and choose the option small windows. It will make your cards smaller but that takes only a couple of games to get used to, and you'll be able to see all the chat at the bottom.
