Wow! You get to decide the parameters for yourself. Why would you even consider letting others decide? If you define yourself by others' parameters, then you are being a fake. Sooner or later that will take a toll on your health and life.

We choose. As we move through life, we may find that choices we made at 20 are no longer the best choices when we are 40. Life is a journey. Along the way, we change and evolve. At least I hope we do.

Don't let others define you.

although we are swayed by society in determining our manhood parameters, we, alone, must establish our own parameters. to do anything less would be to live a lie.
i have numerous body piercings: both nippes, prince albert, 3 scrotum piercings, 2 piercings on the underside of my penis. and both ears. society may view this as body modification or even as being gay. i am not gay, but i enjoy being pierced and am turned on by the reaction my piercings receive from my wife and from myself when i'm experiencing sex alone.
we belong to a nudist resort and that's where i get the stares and questions. i love the fact that most people express their desire to have piercings done, but are afraid of what others may think about them. my response is "you have to do what you're comfortable with."
i am an elementary school principal; probably one of the most strict and straight-laced occupations out there. that doesn't mean i can't wear my ear piercings blatantly. my piercings are a part of me. wherever i go, so go they. if someone disagrees with my visible piercings, it's their problem, not mine. i must feel comfortable in my own body, thus, i can't concern myself with how society views my parameters.

I would say, you set your own parameters. If it is something I can control, then I won't be depending on other people's unproven parameters. It is a question of opinions.
