No - they have a very small amount of internal memory but it won't store much so you should definately get one, although they are expensive.

It depends entirely on wat you want to use your PSP for? If you use it for playing games, and don't want to start in the same place you did when first started the game, you'll need one to save your position. For watching movies (UMD) and surfing, you don't need one.
But, once you do have one, a whole new world of fun can start for you. I bought a 1Gb Sony branded card from Dabs for about £30. On this I have a few mp3 songs, some holiday photos, and some downloaded (ripped and burned) episodes of Spaced. There is also room for saving whatever game I happen to be playing.

Memory card for the PSP currently go up to 2Gb, but you can buy a 4Gb external hard drive, but it's bulky, annoying, and a bit of overkill, not to mention the stupid price tag!

psp's have a small internal memory. If you plan on using if for music, games or videos you should consider getting a memory stick. for the price I suggest getting the 1gb it, it runs around $40. a little pricey, but to get your money's worth out of your psp it is worth it.

Yes- I have several ranging in size for differant uses-

Gamesaves on my 32
Movies on my 1 gb
and music on my 512

It is "pricey" for some people but I find that to have a unit that can be so versatile it is worth the money for the cards. I am on the go constantly so it is nice for me to have the chance to have some game/movie time everyonce in awhile.
