Xenopus laevis - a kind of frog found in Africa

I'm sure there will be more latin animal names starting with x. Could only think of these two offhand, though.

here....i found two answers...although neither of them are exactly what youre looking for. the first one is of a bat species.... but this is its name in latin: Xiphonycteris spurrelli

the second is of a sub-order of armidillo: Xenarthrales

both are from the amazon.
