Stress is force apply to any material, and strength is oppsite reaction of the material.

If the material which you apply the stress (tension or compression) it deform in both way either break or smash.

They're not really different, per se. Strength is a measurement of the maximum stress that an object or material can withstand.

stress is what you get when you dont get laid for a long period of time. strength is what you get when you eat your wheaties
