You'll find that in the UK the limit is one wife at a time, this rule is for all British Citizens. As a result vast majority of British Muslims now think it as an oddity to have more than one wife, and as such if a British Muslim went to live in a country where having more than one wife was acceptable they wouldn't marry more than one, still thinking that it were odd. This is a good example of how British culture has had an influence on British Muslim culture. I myself would never ever take more than one wife, if I get married at all that is!

Yes, they are a huge family, and yes it is crazy, LOL. But not all Muslims are like that. Getting married involves a lot of long term commitment and raising children is costly these days.
