3*10=29? Can u slove this?

Three of us went to a hotel and we had $10 each. Our bill was $30 and we gave $10 each. a discount of $5 was given. Dividing $5 is tough between 3, so we gave $2 tips and took $1 each. So now we spent $9 each. 9*3=$27 plus $2 tips = $29. What happened to the remaining dollar.

1. 3 of you went with $ 10 each , so you have 10*3 = $ 30.
2. There is a bill for $ 30 with $ 5 discount, so you have to pay $ 25.
3. You can not devide 5 in 3 pars so you give away $ 2 at tip.
4. The amount spent mounts to $ 25 +$ 2 = $ 27.
5. You are left with $ 3, which you devided in 3 parts. So, all of you have $ 1 each.

Now, if you see the question in perspective of one of the 3 people. The addtional $ 2 are spent in giving away the other 2 frineds their share of $ 3 left.
So, in this case the dollar left is with you.

No $25 + $2 is the xpense and you get to keep the remain three dollars , each one gets $1. so it adds up to $30 again.

You can not add the tip to the 9*3 = $27 as this $27 means $25 + $2 tip so , all the ppl spent $25/ 3 + $2/3 and the remain $3/3 is back in their pockets. sp $10*3 = 30.

The question calculates wrongly and confuses.
