van wont start i need to find out what the code it is flashing meens.

This should give you a starting point to look.

You do not say what engine you have, but some common problems with that van are the distributor pickup in the 3.0 and the crankshaft positioning sensor in the 3.3. They are also known for fuel pumps going out without warning.

More info, please. Which engine? What codes do you see? On that vehicle, you do not need a scan tool to read codes. Just turn the ignition switch to run, then off, then run, then off, then run in 5 seconds and watch the SES light. Code 12 is start of message, code 55 is end of message. All others are relevant.

spend a little money ($14.00)at AUTOZONE /MURRAYS that way you will have a book on the whole vehicle and how to replace certain parts correctly.
If it wont start but cranks (a)check for fuel[flow and pressure if E.F.I.equiped]if nothing it is your fuel pump or filter,(b)check for spark to the plugs [if it has a distributor it may need a pick-up coil]also your coil or coil pack may be bad,(c)check your engine timing if it is off you probably need a belt or chain depending on the engine.
