Yes, and I have. I was in a program called Semester at Sea and we traveled on a ship around the world on a "Voyage of Discovery" for 108 days, just over 3 months. My voyage left from Vancouver and made stops in Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, India, Tanzania, South Africa, Brazil, and Cuba and returned to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I went in Fall 2003.
It was the best experience of my life and I had a phenomenal time. I learned so much and cannot wait to travel again.
I will be graduating in 27 days (YAY!) and am actually going to be registering for a recruiting fair to teach overseas. I am sooo excited!

YES I would study abroad! Actually, I am studying abroad. Since I'm in high school, I go to school here like a normal kid, so it's not a question of what subject. I'm in Chile and I love it and it's beautiful and the people are so caring and I'd recommend it. And if I could stay for longer I would. But I think you should only stay as long as it takes you to get really comfortable and feel at home. Because you've got to keep moving and changing and not entrench yourself. That's just my idea, though, I'm not sure. But "comfort" includes getting the language, which is definitely an important part of an exchange.

Well I plan to go on a high school exchange next year for the last year of high school. My country of choice is Italy. There I hope to study Classical Studies, Bussiness and History. For University I plan to study in America as I want to become an anthropoligist or a curator.

I have studied abroad, and it is an experience that you will treasure. The longer you can stay the better. It is amazing to study and live outside of your own safety bubble, to try and immerse yourself in something completely foreign to you. Just amazing. I wish I went abroad more while I was in college.
