my now 7mth old son had colic & was the same- constantly unhappy .it may be colic or it could be many other things, colic/wind drops worked for him.get some from the chemist &give them a try, they wont do him any harm even if it is not what is the problem, but they could be the answer to your prayers.is he on lactose free milk due to allergy or medical advise? if not maybe a good idea to get a prof opinion as to which formula is most suitable?

if he is gripping i.e pulling his legs up and seems to calm down when he is laid on his belly or u put pressure on his belly then i wud say he has, make sure u bring all the wind up after and in midlle of a bottle, aired water b4 a bottle is good as it helps them.

yes he surely seems to be colicky. you may change the formula but ask the pediatrician first, it usually lasts 3 month and then goes, you may try baby's magic tea for it if you can find it, really helping especially for babies tummy.

if it is colic you can get a syrup for it, you only give them a drop and it makes them burp really loud, i forget what it's called now.
