I have come to understand that all spiritual paths are but created by groups or individuals that claim(ed) to be divinely inspired. If they are divinely inspired or if they were is uncertain, and to believe in it you have to have faith in a human, or group of humans. There is an alternative to choosing to follow others. It is to follow yourself or to lead. I believe that every human being has the power to create their own spiritual path.

Would you rather have faith in other people’s interpretation of the universe or your own?

There are so many routes to choose from in life and as we walk to discover the right one for us we are either walking one of materilism or a spiritual one.
When the blindfolds have been removed there is only the spiritual before you. With one foot in the material world and one in the spiritual lessons are still being learned, with both in the material world lessons are still being given.

Good question. I too have wondered how people so easily believe others and proceed on the basis of such belief to take such major decisions as to which path is going to be the right one for the precious life of ours.

Even when we choose our own path based on what our mind tells us, there is a bias subconsciously working within ourselves caused by our experience. Our experience does involve to a great extent interaction with others and views, opinions of these others do influence us in one way or the other. To that extent, even the path we think we are choosing on our own is indirectly influenced by others.

However, I would still like to go by my own thinking and analysis process rather than blindly follow someone else or a group on faith. It may be because of my mindset which does not easily tend to believe, it rather demands an analysis and an interpretation of my own mind before any choice is made.

I have faith in a history or tradition. I have only been on this earth a very short period of time. Why would I just want to have faith in myself? That is like a child of 5 saying he knows all there is about life!

others can only show you the path they have taken. In the end it is up to the individual to walk the path that makes most sense for them.
