it depends what you are going to use it for if you work out a lot the shuffle is the right way to go
on the other hand if you like to listen to music at home or while on the computer or doing your homework you will definitely want the nano
i have a shuffle and dont really care for it so i hope to get a nao

If you want to pick and choose your music to listen to using the iPod, go with the Nano. If you just want to dump in music and listen, like when you're exercising, the new Shuffle is better. The big clip that's part of the body is great for mobility.
I got the new Shuffle for my niece for Christmas...

the shuffles are the least problematic and have the longest battery life. the only problem is you cant browse artists etc. the nanos have quite a poor battery life and the new video ipods RINSE battery like hell and tend to have loads of problems as they have a large hard drive

Not sure, but i can tell you the Ipod Shuffle's are not very good. Youc ant pick the next song, you just have to listen to the one your given. No screen... nothing...
