Usually the brain refers to the physical organ. The mind refers to the same thing, but is used in a different context.

You could say "whats on your brain?", but it wouldn't mean the same thing as "whats on your mind?" Hopefully there is nothing on your brain cause it's squishy and soft and might get crushed. "Mind" usually refers to the thing you think with in a less than physical sense.

You brain is the actual tool that is used to commanf our bodies, your mind is a gateway that humans display to actually tell whats inside or whats going on

brain is the slimy mass that is present inside the skull whereas mind is the sub-conscious and super-conscious part of the brain
