My son will be 3-months old next Tuesday. 2 days ago, he wasn't feeding well (bottle-fed) and slept for a mximum of 20 minutes each time he dozed off; yesterday he was back to normal with his feeding. This morning he started sneezing and had light coughs as well, it seemed like his throat was itchy too. He's been feeding well (150ml-200ml per feed) and his stool is fine. I toook his temprature and it was just 35.6 degrees and that's normal. Could he just be having a cold? How can we treat him at home? What else could these symptoms mean? He doesn't have a fever. Your advice and help will be mostly apreciated.

Start to worry for anything 'chronic' that lasts more than, say, a week.

He could just have a bit of hay fever that causes sneezing and coughing. Don't worry if there isn't a fever and he's feeding well he's fine. Also check his gums if they look a bit white and feel hard he might be teething. My second boy got teeth at 3 months.
Good luck and welcome to parent hood the worrying will never stop.

Doctors know more than most people here. That being said we went through the exact same thing with our son , my GF called the Nurse hotline and they told us that without a fever there was really nothing to worry about and that if thiongs didn't get back to noraml within the next couple of days to take him top see his ped.

it sounds like you are on top of the situation- you know what to look for. it is probably just a cold ,babies change sleeping & feeding patterns constantly, especially when they are a bit sick. as far as i know there is nothing safe to give babies for a cough until he is quite a bit older. as hard as it is to see your little one not well, sometimes the only "treatment" you can give is lots of cuddles. do keep an eye on his temp though & check him for rashes. trust your instincts - if you have concerns seek dr opinion.

IF THE COUGH CONTINUES AND HE GET UNCOMFORTABLE WHEN HE COUGH TRY PUTTING SOME VICKS(LOOKS LIKE VASELINE) UNDER HIS FEET AND PUT SOCKS ON HIM. THIS HAS ALWAYS HELPED WITH THE KIDS IN THE HOUSE. IF HE SOUND CONGESTED THEN TRY TO SUBTATUE HIS MILK FOR RICE CEREAL FOR BABIES UNTIL THE CONGESTION STOPS.

When a baby is this young, you should go to the doctor right away. You don't want it to get worse.

It sounds like a cold. Call his doctor and ask if there is anything you can give him.
