Paris is my favorite city! The french have their own way of looking at life. A unique place that believes in tradition and is unwilling to loose its identity. The people are part of the charm. Set in their ways and needing you to adjust to them rather than the other way around. After all, you are the visitor. If you do this, and try your hand at speaking just a bit of french with them, my experience is, that they will love you for it.

It really depends on the person. Stereotypes abound for all...Are ugly and rude, French people ugly and rude, Italians all good in bed, B@@locks like that. I would rather look at people as individuals.
So, I can't say I like all or dislike all French or any others in nationality.
Hell, my best mate's granddad thinks his daughter married an inferior because he is from Italy, and not strictly British and Irish! My friend, I like to tease him has the brains that only come from UK stock, and a nose that came from Picasso! Being ginger blond he can surely get women when he wants them, so I guess blending the features wasn't a bad idea in spite of Grandda!

every single experience I have had with French people has been negative.
school trips to Calais, boulonge (cant be ar$ed to check the spelling) and Paris........every french person was arrogant, short tempered and nasty

later in life I went back to Paris, and found that not only was everyone arrogant, short tempered and nasty, but they were also rip off merchants whether in taxis, restaurants or traders, as soon as they heard an English accent, prices increased threefold.

I also had the misfortune to work with a colleague brought over from Paris for a special project. He started work 1/2 hour later than everyone else, knocked off 1/2 hour earlier and took frequent cigarette and coffee breaks - double that of anyone else.
he was arrogant. He seemed to think he was a genius, even though his 'skills' were nothing special... maybe he just normally worked with a dumb crowd.

Do I like French People? well, let me put it this way... I start off by assuming they are all gits, and then I am unlikely to be disappointed when I am proven correct

I have never met a French person but i would love to visit the country. I cannot pass judgment because i believe you cannot label people from a country all the same. But, i read in the paper that the general feelings about the French are that they are pompus, stuck up snobs!

I've been to France a few times and generally found the people to be very nice: amusing and civilised.

I think that speaking some French makes a great deal of difference.

It really is quite rude of anglophones when abroad to assume that everyone speaks English.

Only the ones who like me. Respect me, get respect. There are a lot of good French people out there. I wish they would speak up a little more though.

I like and dislike people on their own merit, not on the basis of their nationality. I've met French people I like and French people I don't.

I LOVE the French culture but when you ask whether or not we like French people, I can't really respond to that. It really does depend on the individual, not their nationally.

I like some French people.
I dislike others.
Just as I like some British people and not like others.
It's impossible to say whether you like all French people because there are always going to be ones you don't like!

I don't give them much thought, why should I? They have almost nothing to offer me!

I guess the people of France are OK, Its the French government that I don't like.
