They might enjoy making beaded garlands for the tree... buy bulk bags of clear plastic faceted beads and use plain waxed dental floss or pearl cotton crochet thread for stringing. Have them make Christmas place mats for the family by cutting out "snowflakes" from folded paper and gluing them to a large piece of dark blue paper for contrast then sandwiching ( with lots of help from an adult) between 2 sheets of clear Contac paper. They can make matching napkins with plain blue bandannas from the craft store and stamping snowflakes all over them with fabric paint and one of those large chunky foam stamps in a snowflake motif. Just the touch for a festive Christmas breakfast!

Picture frames made out of popsicle sticks or the store bought big ones (tongue depressers), arrange them, glue on their picture, glue on a magnet to the back, or a string for hanging.
Maybe hot glue (your job) something Christmassy, like mistletoe.
Also if you still have baby food jars, find a site that tells how to make those snow balls. You glue in a small charm, wait for it to dry, and put baby oil or water or a combination, and glitter.

The ole time favorite, paper chains. Or cut out snowflakes to decorate windows. Styrofoam balls (and accessories) to make snowmen, a Ginger Bread House to make and decorate (or cookies), homemade ornaments would be cool (again Styrofoam balls, glitter, glue, etc.) or homemade Christmas cards to family.

Oriental Trading Co. has the BEST stuff for kids and the craft kits are very inexpensive. Usually there are 12 to a pack and sell anywhere from $3-7.00 a pack. Go to www.orientaltrading.com. Great stuff!!
