for creating a gmail account u need an invitation
& u can directly join orkut

For g mail account u got to need an invite... from an existing gmail account holder and for orkut..simply go to orkut.com and create an account there u dont have to have Gmail account fr creating account on orkut..u can have yahoo or hotmail account or any other valid e mail...

U can create an account if one of the users of Orkut invites u by sending a mail to u.

For gmail. just signup for gmail account. Below the login page of gmail there is a signup link that will let you create a gmail account. And there is also the invite function of gmail. If you know anyone who has gmail justtell them to send you an email invite to join gmail.
I got mine because I was invited to join

Go to forgot username or password you will be asked a series of questions and you can either reset your password or use the option to send the password to the secondary email that you placed on the account which I'm assuming is the yahoo one you referenced I just read back over your question if you have no Idea what your ID is and don't even have it in any of your confirmation emails when you created it your SOL, sorry
