It depends upon how the patch is attached.

If it is sewed on, get a stitch cutter and it is real easy to remove. Its a small tool designed to safely and easily cut stitches without damaging the material.

If it is an iron-on patch, although you can get it off, some of the glue will often remain on the cloth and discolor it. You must have an iron, and either the protective paper used to put the patch on or a crisp, clean cloth.

I have found that wetting the cloth beneath the patch helps. Put the cloth or protective paper over the patch and heat it until it is loose and use some clamping scissors or tweezers to peel the patch off. You must quickly scrape off the glue using a clean, flat-bladed tool like a putty knife or a butter knife.

Good luck, it's not an easy procedure.

To remove a patch you simply have to pull slightly on one side and VERY CAREFULLY cut the stitching that holds it on. Pull and cut but don't be in any hurry. You can use a single sided razor blade or sissors but if you slip you will cut the fabric. The fabric under the patch may be a deeper color depending on if the fabric has faded. The new patch will cover where the old patch was so it will be OK. I have removed patches from hats, coats, shirts, and everything. It just takes alot of patience.

Dude patches can be removed but it is very difficult and risky job as the danger of ruining ur jersey is at stake so best thing is to contact the person you baught from and ask him to do the thing of replacing the patches

Just keep it on. It still shows you support the team. I wear my Canucks Bertuzzi jersey all the time. That's why whenever you buy a jersey to support your team, but a classic.
