except you upload extra water (both by filling it with a hose or it raining) there's no extra water in truth there is evaporation happening for all time so the water will be a lot less. For the pond aspect to be extra there must be something extra contained in the pond , both extra water or something strong which incorporates rocks or something else put in both on purpose of by twist of destiny. if you're a serious pond keeper you received't enable a lifeless fish stay contained in the pond lengthy so as that it may not bloat .

The 'one' that died wasn't a fish. It was something that fell in & drowned, thus increasing the water level.

The dead fish drifted to where the water was draining out, and blocked it. Live fish would have resisted the current and not caused that problem.

As the dead fish was always dehydrated therefore drunk litres of water so once he went not so much water was drunk.
