somthing like : You are applying for the position of supervisor because you have the qualities to lead,organise and have a clear understanding of the role and objectives.
(i dont no how detailed or how long you require it to be but i hope this helps in some way)
I interview personnel for G4 Securicor and this would be a sufficient reply.

Seriously, if you can't figure out why you want the job, why did you apply for it? It's not really that difficult of a question to answer if you want the job.

you should know yourself.
Having a job like that requires personal attributes such as being organised, reliable and punctual etc.
The fact that you have to ask is concerning because you should sell yourself and know why you are good for the job.
Are you a team leader, fair, organised, punctual etc?
