DVD-RW: Good and pretty much standard
CPU: 2 generations old and not the top of the line model of it's own generation either.
LCD: Low resolution. So-So
RAM: Minimum standard. 1 Gig is much better.
HDD: Another standard. OK but not great.
Graphic: BAD BAD BAD. You can't play serious games and it also slowes down the system by eating up memory (of which u have the minimum to begin with). However if u only browse, watch films, listen to music etc. it will be enough
Wireless: standard.
Overall, a rather old system that will be good for basic tasks as I mentioned and general office productivity stuff. It will not be well suited for the upcoming Windows Vista. Price depends on brand and condition. If it is NEW and an average brand (hp, compaq, Dell, etc.) I'd say $500 sounds reasonable but I would not pay more than $300-400 for it personally.

Hello. Ok here we go.

DVD RW- Standard equipment
Processor- Old and ok, not a trail blazing fast cpu
15.4 display - Good size
512mb memory - Standard amount of memory for a laptop
80g HD - Standard size HD for a laptop
915 Graphics - The worst integrated garphics ever made! Substandard to a commodore 64
Wireless lan 802.11g/b - Standard on all laptops

Worth $200 tops

I reccomend for a Windows laptop, Dell, Sony Vaio or Acer. Or try a MAC. Good luck laptop hunting. :)

Its the sort of lap top that makes a good starter, but if you get into computting you will all ways feel its a bit wanting
if you play on line games its a bit short on spec,if t you where to do a lot /reasonable amount of multi tasking you would find it very wanting

This would have been a mid level computer about a year or so ago. Unless you just want something cheap for word processing and have no intention of doing video or games on it, I'd look for something else. If you do get this, don't pay too much for it.

i won't be able to inform you something about the intel pentium, yet no matter if that is below 2.0 Ghz, undesirable laptop. ok RAM yet you'll favor to replace contained in the destiny. sluggish HDD b/c of 5,four hundred rpm. 7,500 rpm is larger yet SSD are the finest. except that solid computer.
