Definately not. But in my opinion he's never reproduced the magic he showed in the 1998 World Cup anyway.

Newcastle bought him because he was a big name. Souness reckoned that if he brought a big name player to the club the fans would give him a bit less criticism. Obviously the plan backfired when it turned out he'd paid £17 million for someone to sit on a physio's bed for a year...

It was downhill following the great goal agaist Argentina.
Like Beckham & some others he was always overrated.
A good player for sure & he'll be ok again but it'll take a good few months - Rooney is still only just approaching 100%.
As for Michael, he'll try for certain & give his all but it might not be good enough anymore as soccer continues to advance. It's harder to get back.

He's young still, don't forget. He might actually become even better. People wrote off Ronaldo in 2002, but he won the World Cup for Brazil.

Too many injuries I think
Im sure he will be good but the goals havent come as fast as they were in his early career already I hope he makes a full recovery but i cant really see it personally stil hes only what 26
