Whenever i click 'buy', it says that the page cannot be displayed because it cannot detect the server. Luckily i don't do online banking, so my finances are safe

Time for professional help. The "bug" your machine picked up is smarter than what you've been downloading. Perhaps your problem is in what you've been downloading. There are many computer techs out there who are good at digging deep and extracting bugs from computers. I've used a fellow who is a computer forensics expert who works for local law enforcement. He got some nasty spyware off my Windows machine and I had all the protections too!. I now have a Macbook Pro and it is problem free. I do have anti-virus and a firewall on it just to be safe. Call your local police department and find out who they use for computer forensics and that should be who use to clean up your computer.

I hope the answers above were helpful. My suggestion is once your computer is clean again try the free program SpywareBlaster it seems remarkably good at stopping spyware getting on to my computer in the first place. Best of luck.

1st dont buy it online if u got spyware then it lightly that the spyware will log your credit card details.
2nd it most lightly that the spyware it's self is stopping u from buying antispyware stuff. (once when i had spyware every website i cliked on that was releated to antispyware IE would crash becoz the spyware was stopping me from going on the site)

You don't have to buy any anti-spyware! There are lots of anti-spyware which are free!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yahoo do a free antispyware program built into the toolbar. try it i use it and it detects most things and removes
