How can you love someone and use a act of love on someone
else? Does it really make a relationship better or worse?

I have tried this. And my answer is No. Does not make a relationship better it makes it worse because you get confused. Sex may be good but that is not love. You probably just care a lot about the other person and want to be good friends.

You can't. You're either in love with one person or you arent'. You can't have both and not get confused. The only reason it seems better is because you are not really fully emotionally invested in either of them. This seems to take the weight off both relationships (assuming you have both going on at the same time). The hard part comes when you give your love, devotion and attention to one person only because then it will take commitment and hard work on both your parts.

Love is way better, when you feel it for the person you are with.

i am surly not a prude, but if you are IN love with someone that you want to be your life partner, then your soul purpose would be to please that person and not think so much of yourself.
Love makes sex beauitful, sex an the side is just lust..

if you feel you need something on the side, then you aren't really committed to the relationship, i dont care what you try to tell yourself
