It's possible but a black person will not get the Southern states nor will a woman.

Old prejudices die hard. An African American would have a poor showing in several southern states. Therefore it would be hard to become president no matter how worthy a candidate. It is a shame most other western countries have had minorities has leaders (women) UK, Canada, Israel, France. In many ways the US is behind the times.

Yes. First of all I assume you mean an African-American. Three possibilities:

1. Gets elected -- B Obama, Colin Powell
2. Pres dies -- VP gets the job
3. Prez and VP dies and Speaker of House get the job

Maby, but I believe a Hispanic President will go into office before an African American. At the current rate of growth, the hispanics will be the majority by the year 2030. It stands to reason that one will become president by than.
