my VGA card is over heating and the whole system restarts while playing a game although it meets the recommended requirments of the game + my processor and RAM and everything else is more than enough to make work perfectly ,considering that i have geforce fx5200 128 MB .and i close all the programs except the game to make it work fast and all ,i even downloaded the latest drivers for it .but i heard something about BIOS settings that is related to this issue still i have no idea .

It is overheating because it is doing so much work and can't get rid of the exess heat - add more fans

more work = more electricity = more heat

First answer is a good one. I would test with the computer cover off. I run mine without a cover and not enclosed in a cabinet. I keep putting off adding the fans and buttoning back up. But also, you should have a 420 watt power supply, if not a 550 watt. All that RAM, all that video and the high-speed cpu needs juice. Ironically, the 550 watt is cheaper than the old 350 watt. Check BIOS that you have the fan set to come on at least 130 degrees. Good luck.

well, the whole system restarts might be of something else not the overheat of the vga card,but about the heat of the vga card : attach a fan as big as the vga takes to implement cooling to the vga ,althuogh overhaeting considers a normal phenomenan of the vga cards so dont worry, check the rest of your system for the restarting issue.
