I am going to have a baby very soon a boy and I am having a hard time deciding names. I want to pick a name that is relatively easy for Americans to pronounce. My husband and I have a list of names that we like but a couple that we like in particular. One of these is Kavi. We found it listed as boys name but I just noted on a show one of the actresses named Kavitha goes by Kavi. Is this common. Is it more a girls name than boys. We don't want any parent input so it is hard for us to get an opinion. Thanks for your help.

I live in a country where there are many Asian boys and Kavi is not a girl's name! don't worry and it sounds good.
I'm gonna give you some other names like:
Girish, Kevin (yes many indians ar name kevin), Atish, Ashvin or Ashwin, Roshan, Madhav, Krish, Yash, Kiran, Amit, Shakil, Rajiv, Kushal, Avinash, Dan, Kishan, Davin, Nitish, Vicky, JAy and so on..
good luck in finding a name

indian names are pretty much all like that. Except for a few. One of my favorite is Ravi ( sun ) or Karan ( which wouldnt work cause of the aunt thing, still is a nice name ) or Rohan.
But if you like Kavi most then u should take it, as far as I know its a male name.
