In other words, why are things so much better (or more valuable) when they're forbidden or off limits? Stolen moments, forbidden treasures, illegal artifacts...

i think its starts with the myth of forbidden -- while there are things that are bad for you -- like touching a hot stove -- others are forbidden for any number of made up reasons to keep us from having fun. so fun things get forbidden. i think you were just given cupcakes you would get sick of them pretty quick -- they are kind of nasty -- but that you are only allowed them at special times and special occasions they take on special qualities that aren't really part of the cupcake.

I think it's the intrigue of knowing that you're doing something that feels right to you and the fact that you're going to get caught or are watching your back.
