If your not very computer savvy it's best to have a professional do it like Geek Squad or Firedog. What you need to do is enter your IP address (most likely http://192.168.1.1/) in the browser navigation toolbar (where you enter website URL's). You may or may not have a user name and password set by default. Depending on which router you have, the defaults user names and passwords will be different. For a Netgear, for example, it's admin / password. If you don't have a Netgear router, just Google your router brand and put "default logon" after it and search. Once your inside, go to the encryption option. This part is pretty complicated since most routers are different. You will have different choices. 64 bit encyption, 128, and maybe 156 etc... The higher the bit, the more encrypted but slower the internet connection will be, due to having to deal with such a complicated encryption. You might also try Google'ing some guides on how to secure it for more information if this wasn't enough or you didn't understand. Good luck.
