They obviously were either used to calling them that and keep slipping or you didn't invite the to the wedding so they don't think your telling the truth about being married :)

I believe its just a common slip of the tongue. Something someone is used to. The same way a child in school will sometimes call his teacher "Mom". It doesnt mean the child actually thinks the teacher is their parent. Its simply what they are used to saying to those around them.

Take me for example. Most of my friends are married. I have one friend who is just dating someone. when I mention her Boyfriend, I more often than not refer to him as her husband. Granted, most times I catch myself and go "Erm.....boyfriend." and we have a laugh about it.

The fact is, the persons just slipping up. its what everyone does at some point in their life.

It says that the person who is talking to you isn't really listening to you.

It might mean that he's interested in you, but the thought of hitting on a married woman freaks him out, so he's kind of convinced himself that its just a normal bf/gf situation and that makes it a little easier on his morals.

LOL...that obviously they think there's room in your life for another "fling" if they pretend you're not married and keep trying to convince you to do the same. Tell them to get another brain washing book, because the instructions in the first one have failed miserably. LOL

Maybe they are forgetful or regretful. Depends. How does that person feel about you as a couple? Were there any hard feelings before? If so, tread carefully and avoid them if you can.

They weren't listening to you or could care less or they just aren't used to be around someone who is married so they forget to say it. Don't let it bother you.
