personally, i think that achieving harmony across different cultures is quite idealistic. we all have different beliefs and values, and sometimes one culture's ideologies may be contradictory to what another culture believes in. so i don't think we can have true harmony. on a lighter note, however, we can achieve a more culturally aware and sensitive environment. that is acknowledging the fact that there are differences and that we have to respect those differences, and that each person has his own life experiences and realities which may have impact on others.

Mono-cultural, the reason being, that I stay in a multi-cultural society and locate that it does not artwork. There are 2 motives for this in my view....(a million) many of the persons from different cultures choose to no longer assimilate, extremely they call for that this society is replaced as a manner to be like the society they left. they often ghettoise themselves into specific geographical aspects, call for his or her very own colleges and places of worship.etc. (2) The unfavorable consequence this has on the indigenous inhabitants is twofold, they merchandise to the dilution of their very own lifestyle, and that they question explanation why immigrants choose to come again to this us of a and then prefer to alter it. In an suited international multi-culturism is the suited, regrettably in the actual international that's a political pipe-dream.

Certainly we COULD ever have true harmony in the Multi Cultural Society as it was proven the war and clash never happened because of CULTURAL.
In the matter of fact; there are many countries with the same CULTURAL & the same GOD are fighting each other.

"Multi-cultural" is okay, as long as people are mainly Americans and practice some remnants of their culture. But when people are something else first, that's when we have a problem.
Those who are illegal don't consider themselves Americans, as they haven't even gone through a proper immigration process and care nothing about than the land, the language or our own culture in general.

With new means of communications, with more civil war refugies and more travelling, multi-cultural societies will become more natural and beautiful until one day the earth will turn into one homeland and all mankind its patriots.

The word multicultural is an oxymoron. A contradiction in terms.

I am not a racist but when I pay over a grand in tax every month and watch those b*stard asylum seekers getting their cut of it whilst they sit at home breeding, doing sweet FA... it makes me very angry. so in answer to your question... whilst this is happening under our ridiculous government.... NO! send them back from where they came from and let my money help the services that benefit people that were actually born in this country or who have paid into our system!!!
