I dated a girl from Luzon. Visited her in Singapore. She visited me here in California. 7 months later we married. Never asked me for anything other than love. I don't support her family (many people think that's all they want) She is the best woman I have ever met.

There's lots of American men who dates, chats and married with Filipinas. Some they met online, meet each other in person, get engaged or married and then the man petition the girl to go to America. Once they're together, some wait until the wife gets the greencard and retire here in the Philippines. $ goes a long way here compared to the living standards in the US. Reason why there are lots of expats residing and settled here in the Philippines once they've decided they're retiring.

I dated and married a girl from the Philippines. Been there four times. I would advise any man to do this. They are wonderful people.
