As far as my knowledge goes, the evolutional theory states that all existence occured due to coincidence. A marvelous 'coincidence' if you ask me. I would like to believe that a higher power made this coincidence happen...

Evolution and the purpose of life/mankind are totally irrelevant. If you are honest, there is no real purpose. We exist solely for reasons beyond our own grasps.
The evolutionary theory merely explains mankind's origins, not the purpose.

It doesn't have to address the "why we are here". It just explains the "how we are here" in a logical manner.
It is when we stop being distracted by the "why" question that it all makes sense.
Many people just can't accept the fact that we are here by good fortune and accident.
Boy, am I glad that the huge comet hit the Earth 50 million years ago and wiped out the dinosaurs.
