You know this is a good question to ponder because I am sure many people do not realize that although we all come from different ethnic backgrounds, we are all basically the same, individually.
If you've noticed, most cultures have a religion, have family values that they hold dear, use some form of education whether it be on a grand scale or otherwise (someone is teaching someone a practice of some kind), have a politic that they conform to in their society, observe some sort of ethnic ritual, and etc.
What makes us unique and different in our own right is the traditions of that culture, the cultural clothing (for those that have not reverted to western style dress 100% of the time), and the practices we observe as a part of that culture.

Generally speaking, the more isolated a culture, the more similar are the individual members. One of the paradoxes of modern society is we want to experience everything in the world, and yet we complain about how homogenized the world becomes. It's inevitable. When you go out into the world you can't help leaving a trail. The end result is the global village, where you find a McDonalds on every corner, and there's no longer any point in travelling.

Evolved individuals of any culture come to think about the universe and mans role in it in pretty similar ways. Humanity lives in this world and we all have to eat and have shelter from the elements and we have to cooperate with each other in order to survive. Any other way of thinking beyond that is pure learned aberration.

in the big picture all cultures do the same things -- in the smaller picture the way they do these things is very different. on a very basic level -- everyone communicates but they use different languages. everyone eats but they all have different foods they eat and they prepare them differently -- hope this helps?

Yes & no.. . We are all different as a society. Different belief systems are the most prevalent, I think. What America believes as a society, Asia, for instance is different. What we think is funny for example, they would not. What we consider as an outcast, they would grasp.. This is just an example...

I think most cultures are basicly the same.
I have come to think that the only differences have are the way we treat our woman, pray to god and who we want to marry.

cutlures vary a lot.
what may be right in your culture is wrong in another.
for example here men shake hands and if they hug they tap each other on the back and it;s a loud tap
in middle eastern cultures it's considered not so welcoming if you dont kiss on the cheeks or shoulder
wierd to us norm to them
