ABSOLUTELY NOT! Bring it up to your manager if it is happening and if they don't do anything about it, take the next step and go above your manager

No. I used to work in Human Resources and HR is the only type of people to handle your paychecks. If your paycheck is in a sealed evenlope, HR cannot even open it. That is illegal.

No. The moment they grab it then it's theft. But the line is a little hazy, like they could just be carrying it. However, the moment they open it then, if it's got your name on it, then I think they've broken the law. But yea, like someone's said- you'd have to proove that they did it on purpose. Not easy. Best to ignore it for once.
Think about another job. Like this boss doesn't seem too worried if they haven't something in place to stop this.

your paycheck is a confidential as your employment information. i would report this to your supervisor, and if nothing happens, make some security suggestions for the future: a common practice in some corporations is having the individual sign personally for their pay envelope in the presence of the payroll clerk or someone in that type of position.

It is illegal for anyone you work with to open your paycheck for any reason..
The only people to see it , besides yourself, is payroll and accounting, and it is viewed and recorded in a confidential place strictly for business accounting and tax purposes..and this is before it is sealed and released on payday
If anyone has opened your check, you need to report this immediatly, it is considered a felony..

Nope - but if it was handed to them miSTAKENLY, and they open it without checking - only to find that it was not theirs - then it's another story. This would be snooping into your co-workers privacy.

They are not supposed to. Most companies have rules against it. They should be fired.
