I'm a college freshmen and I'm a psyhology major. I want to become a Couple's Therapist but I need a school to transfer to. I was wondering, if you know any good University in California or Cal State to go to? It's something I have to tell my counseler and something I may consider.

Thanks! :]

You seem to have three or more problems related to being admitted to one of the Calfornia colleges, either the University of California system or the California State University system. One probem that you have to pick alumni to write your letters of reference if your parents graduated from a California college or university that might help you or if some other people also respectable graduates of the California higher educaiton system would write you letters of reference that would help. The second problem is that your SATs are low and most universities use standardized rest scores like the SATs or the ACTs as a bench mark for admissions. To solve that problem studying the SATs on your own with a SAT preparation book would be a good thought. It will raise your test scores. The third problem is you did not write about why you wanted to go to college. You also did not write about your volunteering record in your community. Also, you did not write about your activities within your high school. After all of this, you may have an even better chance of being admitted to a private university in California, but it will be very costly. Good luck.

UC Berkeley is without a doubt the best public school
UCLA has a great reputation (relies on it)
UCSD has one of the best pre-med programs (and sends more of its graduates to med-schools than any other university)
UCI, UCSB, and UCD are about the same
Then the other UC's with Merced at the bottom.
Followed by the CSU's, in no particular order
