Fascinating question. It involves astronomy, cosmology, theology, and philosophy. First, from the astronomical standpoint, there is no known answer, simply because we have not yet penetrated far enough into space to see all the way back to the Big Bang. From a cosmological view, the answer depends on the total amount of matter in the universe, as this will determine whether it is "open" or "closed". In an open universe (one whose total matter content is not sufficient to overcome the universe's expansion through the effects of gravity) , there is no end to the universe. In a closed universe, where the quantity of matter IS sufficient, there is a boundary, consisting of the primordial energy of the Big Bang. This would be in the form of quanta, or perhaps strings, if they do indeed exist. Theologically, at the end of the universe we find God, in whatever manifestation suits your preference. Finally, philosophically, we would find "Truth" where the term means "what is"
