I live in the Republic of the Philippines, where we have tropical climate all-year round. I would like to know, what other hot-weather tolerant plants that naturally repel mosquitoes (aside from the common Neem Tree) are there in the market that's good as plants in a home garden?

The truth is, I am looking for plants that can form as a barrier or a fence to separate my garden from the woods beyond. A shrub-like plant with the features I have just mentioned above.

Can anyone help me here?

Sorry. Most plant-based mosquito repellants have actually been shown to be effective only when they are ground and applied directly to the skin (see wikipedia article -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosquito#Mosquito_control_and_integrated_mosquito_management).

Recently, garlic-based oils are being tested as an area repellant for mosquitos. For effective control, however, the best results can only be obtained through an integrated approach.
