My assignment is to write a short story, no longer than 5 pgs long.

But I'm having serious writers block..like I can't think of any ideas of what my story should be about!

Could you please give me some help as to coming up with an idea.

I'd like to write an intriguing muder mystery..but I don't know how to do it.

Maybe some situational/dramatic irony. You know.

So lend me your ideas, please.

I'd promise to switch it from yours, in case you'd used them in the past.

I only need something to get my brain a goin'.

Thanks, guys.

=)

I would think about the things that can actually happen to you. For example, on Halloween this women in my city went crazy and got mad at her neighbor and put a mattress in front of his door and lit it on fire. The building was very old and 12 people ended up dying. :-( The thing is, she was already on parole for 2 previous murder counts. So maybe you could take that story and work backwards. Start with the police searching through the rubbage and finding clues to solve the mystery.

well if you are writing a story about mystry then try to go in a spooky and mysterious place and remain there for 1-2 hours then thing of possibilities thay what things could happen there and if not try newapaper crime page that will give you many ideas and in the end try to write a story in a real end just as the new said that a muder remains a mystry then try to solve that myatry in your mind
