Take the log (base 10) of both sides of the equation:

log (10^2x) = log(9037980)

Bring the exponent out in front:
2x * log(10) = log(9037980)

But log(10) is one, so you have:
2x = log(9037980)
2x ≈ 6.95607138
x ≈ 6.95607138 / 2
x ≈ 3.478

use log base 10

2x log 10 = log 9037980
2x = 6.956071...
2x = 6.96
x= 3.48

hope this helps

2x log10 = log(9037980)
2x = log(9037980)/1 => x=log(9037980)/2
x=3.4781
