Great idea to develop your worse hand. Of course the answer is practice practice practice. But the best way to develop your off hand is to do drills. (Assuming its not good enough to use in games....you dont want too many turnovers). Look up ball handling drills online and do it almost all of them with the off hand. The most important advice when doing ball-handling drills is to NEVER look at the ball. Keep your head up always!
The only other main thing you will need with your off hand is left handed layups. Nothing you can do here but to practice them....but I guarantee it will be worth it.
The most simple but effective move is to slash to your left. Noone expects it....and even if they do, they still fully dont cuz a players defensive stance is used to people driving right.

After you get pretty decent with your left hand in dribbling and layups, try this move. Its easy and effective. The ball in your right hand, crossover thru your legs....then pause for just half a second or so.....then burst and drive left for the left handed layup.

You'll need to build on it.
So, start by bouncing the ball to your left and back, then adding two bounces with the left. Start walking and bouncing.
Handle the ball with your left, get comfortable with just holding it on your hip, for example.

It'll take time, I remember the first time I threw a baseball left handed I threw it "like a girl" if you know what I mean, it was awkward and clumsy.

The easiest shot to take with the off-hand is a lay up, so do that drill ... you won't have to chase the ball so much!

Throw the ball at the wall, bouncing it back to yourself over and over to get that skill, it'll feel so odd at first, but you'll get better soon!

Just start using it more. Dribble and shoot baskets with the left hand more than the right... even try practicing your writing with the left hand. Anything you can do to use it more would help.

Do every drill with both hands. Practice your mechanics and technique with your less dominant hand. When you play pick-up games this would be a great time to practice on your less dominant hand.
