In order to truly love someone, you have to let them get close enough to hurt you.

well Ive checked your other questions and Ive concluded that, this BF of yours, just doesn't suit you in the way that you might think. First both of you are teenagers, the chances of both of you being together for the rest of your days is slim to none. Second, hormones, this guys that got shot(gang related?) truly doesn't know how to deal with his anger, brake up with you over a simple "oh..." is idiotic. He makes bad choices while hes angry, who's to say he might become violent and maybe abusive later in life. So why does the person that your love the most hurt you so bad? In your case, its because he's immature and a hot head. but hey, thats just my two cents.

Whn you love someone so much it is painful, in itself, whn u love them and have expectations then love hurts, we must remember that we are nto perfect and are only human, but my dear, even in love dont let somone hurt u to an extent that u will probably wake up one day and deceide you have had enough, talk abt the things that hurt you and are painful

Because the person we fall in love with is often bad for us. When you love someone you give them the power to hurt you. If you are with someone who doesn't have your best interest in mind, then they will hurt you and not even be sorry for it.

b) ego
c) poor self-esteem
d) BPD (Borderline Personality disorder) and /or manic depression

and due to our fate

an old saying. You only hurt those you love.
Love is a powerful emotion due to that emotion the pain is greater than any other.
