The boat that the pilgrims sailed on was the Mayflower. The Pilgrim traveled from England because they felt that it had not completed the work of the Reformation. Most of the pilgrims consisted of farmers, with out education or high social class. On September 16,1620, 102 pilgrims boarded the Mayflower for the cross over the Atlantic. 65 days later the pilgrims reached the shores of Plymouth, Massachusetts. The relationship between the pilgrims and thanksgiving is because they wanted to give thanks to god because of the excellent harvest they had with the help of the Native Americans to prepare for their second harsh winter.

the best way to teach your son....or yourself...is learn how to use the search function at the top right of the page........if you had typed Pilgrims in that box you would have gotten everything known in the English speaking world about the Pilgrims......and you DID IT YOURSELF! AND SO CAN YOUR SON! AND SO CAN ANYONE!
