how do u make the designs on the nails yourself?

You need a couple of things stripper brush which is long and thin, another stripper brush just shorter, a dotter brush which is the shortest paint brush you'll find (you can get these from a craft store or you can get a real good one from a beauty supply like Sally's), a metal dotter (for dots), acrylic paints in many colors(these paints seem to show up better), and a little creativity. It's all in the stoke of the brush, and work fast try not to think about it to hard and you'll come out with a great design.!!!

If you dont want to buy a nail polish kit, you can just dip a toothpick into the bottle and draw.

get a little little little paint brush thats smaller than the brush that comes in the nail polish that works the best and than you can go from there

you could use a kit that oyu buy in a store. this is what i did one time and people wouldn't believe that i did myself. i did a very simpe, victorian like design on my ring fingers only. i use a mechanical penicl, dipped it into black nail polish, and drew the design! hope that helped. =]
