I sure hope those stripes are THIN ones... (smile)
Here's what I recommend:

WHITE SHIRT (traditional):
Be sure to use a formal white shirt (that is, the one with the layers at the buttons). Couple that with a basic black bow tie and you're in-vogue.

WHITE SHIRT: (contemporary)
Any white shirt will do; enhanced with a black straight or bow tie but accessorized with tie clasp and coordinating stays.

OTHER IDEAS:
1. Compliment your striped suit by wearing a black shirt and black tie (either style).
2. Wear a striped shirt with a pattern that matches your suit and a SOLID COLOR tie (definitely a contemporary look). Accessorize this with a white silk scarf and you're a FASHION STATEMENT!

Thanks for writing and Good Luck to you!

This is pretty sharpe. A black shirt and a solid red tie. Kinda mobish but sharpe and I bet nobody else will be wearing the same thing.

get a grey, white, or black dress shirt to wear underneath. if you can, get like a black shirt with a white tie, i think that'd look neat. just try to keep it calm -- getting like a yellow shirt or something really bright wouldn't look all that great.
