In the days of vampirism, if a vampire drinks the blood of someone who's been drinking, would he get sick and/or would he be drunk himself? [by the way, I know vampires don't exist......yet I can't explain these two marks on my neck!]

In the old days, maybe so, as they took all your blood, and that would transfer all the alcohol to the vampire.

But, modern vampires take no more than a cat would drink, so they aren't affected.

Modern vampires also like chocolate nearly as much as they like blood, so it's possible to distract them by leaving a big Whitman's Sampler on your coffee table.

Actually, is was believed that Vampires would be effected by substances in the blood...alcohol, narcotics and the like. That is why, IF you check the historical records you will find that the level of alcohol comsumption increases in areas where vampirism was prominent and as the vampire reports decreased or increased so did the levels of alcohol use.

a giant spider could have done it. you never know. scary huh?

lol!! anyways, i would think that the vampire would get bit of a temporary high from it. in the vampire chronicles by anne rice, louis drinks from a very drunk victim and feels the effect of it.

in the anita blake vampire hunter series, jean-claude doesn't get drunk by drinking from somone inebriated, but from so much power in one night. he drank from a werewolf, necromancer, and a faerie.

ummm....i hope it helped a bit.

In Anne Rice novels, they do.

The marks on your neck are probably just zits or a result of getting a little too drunk yourself, doing the horizontal mambo woth some ugly chick, and then blacking it out. ;)

I dont think it would affect them at all, Just as they dont become HIV+ after drinking blood from someone who IS HIV+. Their immune system would start right away at taking care of it.

I don't think they would. They're immune to sickness and death, so I'm pretty sure they'd be immune to that.
